Ok, we’re in the LOVE month. What a great time to learn how to use heart-felt strategies to engage with your tribe?
In this age of relationship marketing, we all more or less know what it means when someone refers to your “tribe”: And because we are all familiar with the term, it’s easy to gloss over it and take its deeper connotations for granted.
Today, in marketing and business, “tribe” is often taken as a synonym for “your ideal audience”—but it goes much deeper than that.
A tribe gives as well as receives. You don’t just need your tribe to buy from you, you need them for inspiration, stimulation, validation and a constant reality check. They help you get up in the morning and inspire you to re-ignite your passion. They provide feedback, comfort and reciprocity.
So, who is your tribe?
The simple answer: They are kindred spirits. They are the social group with whom you most feel you belong and who you find it easiest and most rewarding to help.
So if you want to connect spontaneously, naturally, joyfully and easily in a Heart-Felt way that will ring with authenticity, choose the tribe that resonates the most deeply and naturally with you: People who you genuinely want to help, love helping and know you can help.
But where to find them?
Let me share with you four currently popular platforms and methods that provide natural meeting grounds.
Method One: Email
Let’s start with the most obvious communication device for tribes, which is still the most important of all your methods and strategies.
An email list is essential to staying in touch with any tribe. It’s the one method you need to use, no matter how else you connect. Think of it as the backbone of your marketing and sales.
Done properly and sent regularly, an email list; keeps you fresh in your subscribers’ memories, creates a relationship with you, gives you a relationship with them, builds trust and loyalty, sets you ahead of possible competitors, and keeps them happy to buy or invest.
In order to make your emails effective in both generating income and building the relationship with your subscribers, you need to keep two essential factors in mind.
⦁ Know what your people want
⦁ Deliver it
If you are maintaining regular contact with them through email and other methods, knowing what they want and delivering it should become second nature to you. If you email regularly and relevantly, you can look forward to receiving questions, requests and feedback. Even complaints are big clues you can use to fine-tune your products and programs, or fill gaps.
Your email strategy should be all about service and staying in touch: Nurturing the relationship, in other words. When you genuinely feel this way about a tribe, that’s when it’s easy for you to let them know about offers and write other genuinely relevant, helpful and interesting content.
Method Two: Creating and Running a Facebook Group
If you are already a member in one or more Facebook Groups—especially closed ones—then you know the value and the reward of membership in these tightly-knit, common-interest-driven communities.
If you are in an “open” Facebook Group, you are familiar with the hazards of not pre-qualifying members, via the type of dissension the wrong members can create.
But the best type of Facebook Group to invest your time in is—your own.
This is where you can gather people together in a closed, pre-qualified group, and naturally be the leader.
A few reasons to use this method:
⦁ It naturally positions you as a leader
⦁ Groups keep people focused. Even Facebook users who no longer “bother” with their feeds will log on to see what’s new in their favorite group today
⦁ It is the perfect vehicle for providing focused content your group will eagerly read, share, or click on and view
⦁ It creates a real community, tightly focused around a passion or topic—and you
It is incredibly easy to create a new Facebook Group, but there are a few precautions you should take to make sure you end up with a group filled with your ideal clients and amazing tribe members.
These are just two heart-felt strategies to engage with your tribe. As a coach you need to have several strategies in your arsenal to create that ‘know-like-trust’ factor.
I will do a deep dive into these two strategies, as well as two more very effective and popular strategies this month on our weekly Business By Design Facebook lives, in our Facebook community, Female Heart Conscious Coaches.

Love your ideas on the Facebook group. I’m just starting mine and your urging of “prequalifying” those who are in the group just makes a ton of sense! Thank you!
You are more than welcome. What niche do you coach in?
